Important Performance Information
As with all solar lighting, performance is directly influenced by the amount of sunlight the solar panel receives during the day.
For the best results, install your plaque where the solar panel receives at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day. During summer, this typically provides excellent overnight performance.
In winter, shorter daylight hours, overcast weather and lower sun angles naturally reduce the amount of energy the battery can store. As a result, illumination time may be shorter than during summer.
For optimum performance, avoid installing the plaque where the solar panel is shaded by verandahs, eaves, trees or fences, particularly during the middle of the day when sunlight is strongest.
The light is designed to automatically turn on at dusk and switch off at dawn, charging itself each day with available sunlight. A well-positioned solar panel is the single biggest factor in achieving the brightest light and the longest operating time throughout the year.
Please note: Solar lighting performance varies with the seasons and the amount of direct sunlight available. Reduced brightness or shorter run times during prolonged cloudy weather or winter months is a normal characteristic of solar-powered products.
